I am today ashamed of the United States congress. How they treated The President is crimminal. In decades I have never heard such noise chatter and cat calls from our elected officials. I even think one shouted "Lie."

So this is what made you ashamed of congress? Not the fact that members on both sides of the aisle lie, cheat, trample on our constitution, etc. and have been doing so for years. Not the fact that members on both sides of the aisle get involved in dirty deals, don't pay taxes and get away with it, etc. Not the fact that they play by a totally different set of rules then the people that they are supposed to represent.
I have been ashamed of the US congress for years because they are for the most part a bunch of corrupt, self-serving ego maniacs.
Stenny Hoyer was questioned about a possible punishment for Congressman Wilson. Are you freakin kidding me? We have all these crooks that are currently in congress who have not paid taxes etc. who are allowed to keep their jobs and they might look into a possible punishment for Congressman Wilson? Boy are the priorities of this congress and this country completely screwed up.
No, 8 years of watching the demwits totally look like fools and babies during Bush's speeches was the real shame.

acting a fool doesn't make it right. joe wilson needs to remember he's in a public office and displaying such poor behavior isn't how his constituents would want to be represented. he should've kept his remarks to himself until after the address.

I fully agree. I am truly embarrassed at what our country has become. Children at school would be sent to the office and disciplined if they acted like this during a school address by the principal or another speaker. Yet, our elected officials, who respresent ALL of us, don't have the manners or common decency to treat our president with respect. It is fine to disagree, but there is a time and place for everything. This is NOT civilized behavior. There has got to come a turning point because this has gone on long enough and I think last night just proved it.
