Obama has been President for EIGHT MONTHS. EIGHT FREAKIN MONTHS and you expect him to fix what has been brewing for decades in that short amount of time?

If he was sitting back letting the banks fail, the car companies fail etc. the same people bitching about him doing too much would then be bitching that he isn't doing enough. If constantly complaining but never actually adding anything of substance to the conversation makes you happy, then keep on truckin'.

As for me, I'm goiing to put my nose back into my books and continue researching what's ACTUALLY happening, not just what's being spewed by the fringe on BOTH sides of the political spectrum. You may want to try the same, it might help you.
No one said it was his fault. I know in your partisian mind you like to think the opposition to Obama said that. However he has done NOTHING to help the situation. He promised 600,000 jobs by the end of the summer, he promised that if the stimulus was passed unemployment would stay below 8.4% he promised millions of new jobs, he promised to stop foreclosures, he promised to reform Wall St., He promised to cap executive pay, we can go on...If it is not stupidity it was pure lies.

Oh and what books are your nose in that tell you exactly what is happening? Because by the time a book reaches the shelves it is far behind current events. Here I'll help you- try Reading 'The Economist'.

Oh, he promised these things? All this stuff has been explained over and over.

He said unemployment would reach 10%. What happened

he's trying hard to stop foreclosures and reform Wall Street, look those up.... he *did* cap executive pay on TARP recipients. (It would be SOOOOcialist to cap pay on nonrecipients.)

Oh look: today, Sept. 10: "A much-anticipated report from the Council of Economic Advisers says that the economic recovery package signed by the president earlier this year has saved or created more than 1 million jobs, the Associated Press reports."

The stupidity and lies arent his.

We just had our third round of layoffs this year, about two weeks ago. Our staff is down to half. Round four of layoffs is expected in a month if things don't improve. We've already got the existing staff working reduced hours or taking voluntary paycuts. My best friend's husband has not been able to find a full time job. He's been working part time for Wal*Mart as a warehouse worker, and believe me, this guy is capable of much more, but you've gotta put food on the table. ANyway, he was sent home for the rest of the week because the Wal*Mart distribution center is SLOW! That's not good.

So don't tell me that the economy is getting better and we're out of the woods, because even if things are slowing down, NO NEW jobs are being created, and those that were lost are NOT coming back.

the democrats have had control of congress for approximately 2 years and 9 months. if they can't execute change in that amount of time, they don't deserve to be in office either. it may wind up that people will have to vote for independent candidates in the next election, or at least outsiders.

by the way, both GM and chrysler DID fail, and we gave chrysler to fiat so maybe taxpayer money should not have been wasted on those bailouts either.......

He seems to forget whose administrtion satrted the bailouts and hwo didn't spend his second half as promoised but decided to bailout the UAW instead. maney we are the least likely to ever see agin as taxp[ayers. then his blouted stimulus that was 70% political paybeck and nothing to do with stimulus.I don't see the stimulus as doing much for the amount spent really.
