Why would you be intimidated by something you don't believe exists?

Yes, the free choise part is the important one for me. 2.5 million people annually choose to be Christian out of their own free will. And I think with China gaining momentum, these numbers are going to expode through the roof.

I think he meant that many christians try to intimidate people into believing. I've been on the receiving end of this MANY times, which is why I don't proclaim my Atheism unless asked or provoked. When you mention to some christians that you're a non-believer, then the 'you're going to hell' talk starts. They try to scare you into believing, but luckily there are people who dont' fall for their intimidation.

Just like 'Lying for Jesus' is popular, so is 'scaring religion into people'.

It seems in the U.S Christianity is on the decline. Even if I am non-religious I see this as a negative. When this was a Christian country we were more polite and civilized. Today people have no religion and no values, the result is a deep and dysfunctional moral decay.

As for the world, Muslims are reproducing at a far higher rate than Christians, this is especially true in Europe. I could imagine the vast majority of the world will be Muslim in 100 years with Christianity being a small minority. The Western media and entertainment industries attacking and picking on Christians will also work to the Islamic advantage. One day historians might be amazed that there ever was a time where the majority of women in the world had freedom and didn't wear the burkah. They will conclude that Westerners took for granted their culture and values and in the process lost their civlization.

Jehovah's Witnesses numerous times, people in parking lots (darwin plaque on my old truck), in grocery/retail stores, at two separate high school graduations etc etc.

I think it's the tattoos... for some reason they're religious wacko magnets. I rarely had this problem until I got tattooed below the elbow.

Actually, this past weekend I was stopped at the grocery store and asked if I had 'found Jesus'... I simply said 'why, did you lose him?'. Apparently they didn't get the humor.

Actually, I find that the non-religious are more 'moral' than the religious people I know...they know that this is the ONLY life they have to live, so they tend to be more careful about what they say and what they do. Value and morals have nothing to do with a perceived religion, as the priest scandals of the Catholic Church have shown.

I'm not. The attempt at intimidation comes when they follow after me after being told not interested and threaten me with their he11, or their perceived notion that I have rejected a gawd who I don't believe in.

Not a lot of logic in these people.
