Nothing like being pro-american. you truly must hate america don't ya?
Not at all. There are many other cities in the United States that would be safer venues. Luring foreign visitors to Chicago is like leading lambs to the slaughter.

You really have a distorted world view, don't you? Do you picture a wholesale slaughter going on in Chicago?
I honestly have no clue how some people get their notions. Is it fear of certain people?
Chicago could have triple the crime rate of the safest large city in the US, and the chances of a particular visitor being the victim of crime would go from imperceptibly small to very nearly imperceptibly small.
beck, dumbass, olympics in vancouver havent happened yet.
LOL! Everyone know Canadian cities are all the same! I'm only familiar with Montreal, Quebec - 1976 --- From Wikipedia: "The Olympics were a financial disaster for Montreal, as the city faced debts for 30 years after the Games had finished. The Quebec provincial government took over construction when it became evident in 1975 that work had fallen far behind schedule; work was still under way just weeks before the opening date, and the tower was not built. Mayor Jean Drapeau had confidently predicted in 1970 that "the Olympics can no more have a deficit than a man can have a baby", but the debt racked up to a billion dollars that the Quebec government mandated the city pay in full."

Beck may have messed up the exact city name, but I think we get the gist that the context is accurate
