I actually checked a world earthquake monitor site probably around noon EST today( Tuesday) and it hadn't happened yet. I hope there was minimal loss of life. That's where Survivor is this season although by now they've wrapped up filming. But it might affect a season finale.

Yes, I believe the season finale is live. I heard the earthquake was 7.5 on the scale but I saw that in passing, I haven't heard any other news yet.

Indonesian official: Quake death toll rises to 777

Quote:
JAKARTA, Indonesia (AP) - An Indonesian government official says the death toll in this week's earthquake on Sumatra has risen to 777.

The official says most of the dead from Wednesday's 7.6-magnitude quake, which originated off the coast of Sumatra island, were in the town of Padang.
Have we sent resources to help?

FEMA was already at work there (in American Samoa) on 9/29/09 after The President declared a major disaster.

2 very powerful earthquakes have hit Indonesia since the 8.3 near Somoa. The bad news gets worse.
