There are certain projects that must be completed without fiscal restrictions...health is one such project. It is far too important to stop because of the fear of where the money is coming from. More money is wasted today in the current health system than would be wasted in a new one. Obama is carrying out his promises and he cannot keep changing his plans due to the changing minds of the public or the hatred caused by political media propoganda. Money was found for the war in Iraq, The space programme, and overseas aid...now it is time to find money for the health and education of every American. Stop this pathetic Obama "Bashing" as by doing so you become part of the problem and NOT part of the SOLUTION.

Obama has had to alter some of his plans -- such as those to let the Bushie tax cuts expire for the rich -- as the result of an economic collapse that didn't exist yet when he began campaigning and the full scope of which was not really evident or appreciated until after he had already taken office. But he is otherwise doing his best to keep to the agenda he promised. Health care will pass, and while imperfect, it will be looked back on as a milestone. The same will be true with the energy bill and with comprehensive immigration reform. The sceamers will of course scream throughout. It's a simple task...just the sort of thing they are best suited for if the record of the previous eight years is any indication...

This is what Presidents have to do. There has never been or will ever be a President that satisfies everyone. Obama is doing exactly what he should be doing. The huge explosion of Media news on our TV's fighting for ratings unfortunately leans towards sensationalism rather than truth. Their ratings are their driving force. Fox knows that they have the right wing in the palm of their hands and get huge ratings from them. They have become the recruiting office for the GOP.
Obama will pass the health reform bill and it is the first step to real reform....watch this space.
Obama has been in office a very short and has done well.
Too many people out there trying to put down Obama and be clever at America's expense.

How did he do that? The leaders of all the other countries in contention went to Copenhagen.

I could not agree with you more. Healthcare and Education are essential for our future and neither should be driven by "for profit" institutions, no matter how much they contribute to anyone's election or re-election bid. The "bashing" is only being done as an attempt to delay progress(success) in order to gain seats in the next election. Unfortunately, it is as simple as that.

I am not saying it is fair, but I still think whites get a LOT more slack on things than blscks do.

General ineptitude, although I would guess that is not a impeachable offense.

Here is what Obama reminds me of. I have a buisness involved in road building. Years ago I hired a man to oversee a road project I was involved in and I was real impressed with him when I interviewed him. Had all the proper education and was a real likeable man. Not the experiance I would of liked for the job but I felt he was more than capable of performing the task he would be asked to perform.

After four months and and almost losing the contract I removed him from his position and took control of the project. I kept him as my assistant and taught him all I knew. Today he has his own company and is very succesful. We are great friends and thanks me often for helping him learn the buisness.

I feel Obama took on more than he is capable of. Who knows, maybe in ten more years of getting the right experance he could have been a great president. He just seems very weak to me and not focused enough.

Yes, I recall that now...he was wearing a track suit and holding a javelin in one hand and a discus in the other while standing on a diving board as he made his plea. Tsk, tsk, it's always about him.

How much are you willing to pay for it? You realize that the citizens of every nation with UHC or similar pay for it through payroll taxes of some fashion. It is not free. Would you support a new 8% payroll tax to guarantee healthcare to all Americans?
