Obama links job growth to health care proposal

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama says passage of his health care proposals would create new jobs by making small business startups more affordable.

Obama links job growth to health care proposal - Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091003/ap_on_go_pr_wh/us_obama - broken link)

Obama said he has met people "who've got a good idea and the expertise and determination to build it into a thriving business. But many can't take that leap because they can't afford to lose the health insurance they have at their current job."

Now, really, do you want to look so very foolish when you know that's not true at all? If you want to criticize the guy for some good reason, then go ahead and do so, but don't get it wrong on all counts that you cited.

isn't this opinion. I may not agree about class or lack of same, but I don't agree with you either. Everyone has a right to voice their opinion and class is one thing that is pretty much opinion.

Everyone wants an instant fix as though any one act a president can do will cause dramatic changes. Does Obama play the politics game? seems he does from what I see. Does he have an instant fix, no... remember these advisors are telling hiom many things to do in order to head us towards a solution. You don't think Obama is coming up with everything alone do you? surely no one is that naive.

Obama took a position when the country was in worse shape than just about any time in history. Those that support him for some reason expected him to do the impossible and now they are disillusioned... get the F over it. Nothing this bad will change in less than a year. Is he doing what you wanted? maybe yes , maybe no. Did any president do all you wanted?

Americans are fickle. They swing with the wind, they talk alot and do little of importance to the issues. I suspect the CD folks have a higher rate of sending letters, calling and so forth than the norm but we as a whole are a very opinionated mouthy bunch.... Good for us.

For those that feel let down... Have you sent your comments to the white house? Have you written
or called your congress people?

One asked where I stand... I am not against Obama as that is cutting my own nose off. Why would anyone want the president to fail? what an asinine position and definitely not patriotic. It is your country, it is your president... yes even if you didn't vote for him. So instead of belly aching about all this crap, provide good solutions to make the system work better... it's in everyones best interest... and in the end we will all have to reach some sort of compromise on what is done. Why is this so hard to figure out? For months I keep reading sour grapes about a candidate not winning. ok get over it the election was almost 1 year ago time to get back to the business of the country.

Issues : economy , Oil , trade ,, war , health care and social issues ... environment

education, World concerns.....

There are many areas to focus on and I suspect most will agree these are some of our most pressing concerns. Now provide good ideas on how to fix these issues. Then solicite others and their ideas on how to make it work better , and promote the fix. Get a grass roots campaigning and make change. that will give you the change you wanted. If you keep doing the same thing do you really expect change?

For me voting democrat or republican is no means towards a change. We have pretty much what we had before with a brighter leader at the helm. That isnt the change I wanted but I am dealing with what didnt happen and I make my points with my officials and do what I can to implment the changes I think are important.

Wow that made me throw up. Class? It's not class to be the leader of a country and then troll around the world disrespecting it. it's not class to bow to a king of the country the 911 attackers came from. It's not class to fill the white house with criminals, America haters, tax dogers, communists, marxists, socialists, homosexual activists, a supporter of a cop killer, racists and bigots. hussein obama does not roll in the gutter, he lives in it.

Bernake today stated the recession was over. Obama stated the recession was over. In historical terms, was the last really that bad?

Unemployement has been worse. Poverty has been worse. Homelessness has been worse.

I understand there are problems and am not suggesting otherwise, but for you to suggest it was "worse than just about any other time in history" seems to contradict the President.
