It's not impressive that in just 150 years the African American race has gone from enslavement to having a member in the white house? Trust me, I'm one of those people who detests affirmative action had preferential treatment for minorities, but I don't think we should be colorblind. You might also want to consider the fact that they utilized the slaves to build the White House. Don't you think that this part of our country's history and the fact that we now have the first black First Lady is somewhat significant?
