I thought this "prize" couldn't possibly become more of a joke, but they proved me wrong yet again. I think my garbage man has done more for the world than the obamanator has.
Of course what should be expected from a prize named for the inventor of dynamite, and a committee funded by him claiming to cite peace?
0bama was given the Peace Prize for the same reason his was elected as president, not because of any past accomplishments he has achieved, because he has none, but because people reflect a part of themselves upon him, and they are hoping 0bama might achieve something, some day in the future.
This Nobel Peace Prize is a perfect example of what is wrong with the left in this world. They put the power of the world into the hands of an unaccomplished man, all because he gives empty, but pretty speeches about intangible, feel good messages of change, all without him able to prove any prior ability to deliver anything.
The President had nothing to do with Chicago getting or not getting the Olympics. The International Olympic Committee snubbed the US Olympic Committee for being so arrogant and incompetently run. There was nothing Obama could have done to change that vote.
So his going before the committee with the stated purpose of promoting Chicago as the best site for the Olympics was an act that he knew to be futile? Yet he went, put his prestige on the line to attempt to get them?
If there was nothing he could do, why did he do this?

The American people duly and legally elected President Obama; nobody in the global community "put" him in office. Here is a list of his accomplishments; how about posting your curriculum vitae so we can all
compare the two?
If it's only his policies that are the issue, then please explain the following video, from the pastor of a church nonetheless. And this is from a sermon during one of his church services. He goes on to say that God hates Barack Obama. This is more common than you think or realize. I'll be waiting for your explanation.
I suggest you ask the person on the video. Why would anyone be responsible or answerable for his words?

Because of what is considered to be their money grubbing ways, the US Olympic Organization is not held in high regard by the other members of the International Olympic Committee. There is so much resentment towards the US organization that many believe we won't get another Olympics until they change both their membership and ways. Unfortunately, the people in Chicago were unaware of that little piece of information and took at face value the lies they were told about the amount of support the Chicago effort would receive. They, in turn, passed that information on to the Obamas. On the other hand, considering the heads of state of all the other countries were there to pitch their cities, Obama's not being there may have worked against our country.
Spin all you want, this cannot made into being Obama's fault or a slight to Obama personally.
The story of the Emeror's new clothes comes to mind. Today it's about his New Peace Prize....but the same story. It needs less spinning and more fabric.
It will be such a great day when Mr. Obama takes his family and MIL to the awards ceremony to receive this prestigious award. Congratulations Mr. President Barack H. Obama.
