On the business news the people looked like scare crows when they discussed that Fox news might buy MSNBC...wouldn't that be a great thing!

I would love to see all their faces if that happens....

That would be an excellent - and wise - move. Let's hope the government doesn't block it.

I don't watch Fox and I don't watch MSNBC so it doesn't really bother me.

Sure, they want to use it to show that they're really "fair and balanced"

so what do you watch, CNN and the basic liberal channels. Of course MSNBC falls into the liberal catagory. I think watching a variety of channels, both sides makes us much better informed. I guess you don't see it that way.

I don't think it will ever pass anti-trust muster with a Democratic-led government. If anything, it tells me that Congress has known for a while that this transaction could take place, hence the increased rhetoric against Fox News. The Government PR Machine is in full effect, most likely to drum up public opposition to Fox, which it then can use to say a purchase of NBC Universal by Newscorp is not in the public interest.

No legitimate news program is happy to have Rupert Murdoch want to buy their organization. It would be Murdoch, not Fox News who would buy MSNBC, if this were true.

The talk of the sale is for GE to sell to Vivendi who would sell 51% to Comcast. No mention of Fox News or Murdoch. Just more right wing imagination run wild.

I hope Maddow and Olbermann are immediately thrown out on their asses.

FOX News and MSNBC have one thing in common: neither lets facts get in the way of their clearly biased opinion.
