Because, the POTUS is the President of ALL THE PEOPLE - even those he does not agree with or does not like.

Rush is feeling the backlash of his arrogance and the horrible things he has said in the past. So much so that he is considered "unworthy" to purchase the all-american dream of owning a football team.

Now- he is saying he wants to see Obama and America succeed...kissing up to the man he verbally attacked for more than two years.

His lack of character brought him millions, and his lack of character has cost him more than that.

I don't think Obama has any reason to reach out to the likes of Limbaugh. I'd say that he has a lot more pressing issues on his plate at the moment. Limbaugh has insulted, lied about, demonized and disrespected the President to the umpteenth degree, therefore, Limbaugh has made it quite obvious that he does not hold Obama's stature as President of this country in any sort of esteem.

IF Obama is a true leader, he would act like one. A REAL and TRUE leader would reach out to his detractors.

Are you suggesting that Obama is not, as he suggests, a Leader, of ALL the people?

Thats what it sounds like.

Obama isn't going to talk to anyone who criticised him. Are you kidding?

Oh stop, you sound like one of my uncles that would tease us when we were kids. Every response brought another question from him just to annoy us. Either my uncle or an obnoxious cousin that once melted a frog just to bug me. Take your pick.

Okay, except I don't think that Letterman is as mean spirited as Limbaugh and that is putting it mildly.
