Beck is an ENTERTAINER. He has a following right now because:
1)Economic times are uncertain- so people have fear and they cling to his "knowlege".
2)We've never had a minority president- so majority populations have fear and they to cling to tradition.
3)Society is changing faster than ever in history- people fear they will be left behind so they cling to his (and Rush's) debunking of scary things like climate change, etc.

THINK about it. Rush, Hannity, Beck, Coulter are all popular because they keep telling people if we just went back to the OLD ways, and did things they way we have ALWAYS done them, and if our leaders looked like they have ALWAYS looked (white, male, conservative), and if our country was made up of people who were ALL the same- then we wouldn't have these problems.

Ain't gonna happen...no matter how scary it is.
Embrace the changes. We have a great oportunity to reinvent ourselves as a better nation.

There we go again!!!!!

You still are not addressing the issues that Beck has brought up!!

WHY ARE THERE SO MANY COMMUNIST SYMPATHIZERS AROUND THIS WHITE HOUSE????? This is why............

I think all this Glenn beck posting has the MSNBC communes jealous. They've trotted out Rachel Maddow to try to hype her and make her seem popular. Which is sad considering she does such a terrible and amateurish job even for a no talent shameless partisan hack.
She makes Glenn Beck and Keith Olbermann look professional. Even Chris Matthews does a better job and he's only barely taking his job seriously.

They don't. Only 35% of Americans in latest polling support Government run health care.

While a small majority of voters (53% I believe, that's hardly "overwhelmingly") voted for Obama, most were uninformed about his politics.

Snake oil is what Obama is selling, and there are people worshipping him; gullible, impressionable young school children, being forced to chant, "Ummm, ummm, ummm ... Barack [Insane] Obama". Disgusting!

But you can go back to wallowing in ignorance if you like. I choose to be informed and work to save America from this evil dictator and his radical marxist band of advisors that threaten our very freedom.

Now just who are the "sheeple" here? It is not those who are waking up and finding out what this Obama administration is about to do to our country.

Default Holy Guacamole! Glenn Beck's Thursday Ratings

Was Thursday the day Glenn Beck did the show on Anita Dunn, White House Communications Director? I can't remember if that was Wednesday's or Thursday's show. He had 1,000,000 million people aged 25 - 54 and 3,222,000 total people watching at 5:00P. That's almost 300,000 more people than he usually has in that 25 - 54 demo (I call it the working man/woman demo) and 500,000 total viewers more than he usually has.

How come?

To put that 1,000,000 25 - 54 demo ratings number in perspective, that same day in primetime (when everybody is home), Keith Olbermann had 291,000 in his 1st show and 202,000 in his re-run show and Rachel Maddow had 214,000 and 184,000 in her first run and re-run show that night for a total of 891,000 for 4 hours of programming in that demo for MSNBC's entire primetime line-up. Olbermann had 1,632,000 total viewers that night for his two shows and Maddow had 1,333,000 total viewers for her two shows to Beck's 3,222,000 total viewers for one show.

But forget about Maddow and Olbermann. The question is why did approximately 500,000 more people tune into Beck on Thursday night and why did 300,000 more working age people tune into Beck on Thursday night compared to his Wednesday night audience?

Is he getting a lot of "working man" viewers at 5PM because so many more people are unemployed and disenfranchised? Are there 300,000 more working age people at the White House monitoring his show? I don't believe "Anita Dunn" is a household name, if Thursday was the show about her, to attract more additional Beck viewers than Olbermann had in total for that demo for his first show in primetime. Also, if people work a four day work week, Thursday is not usually the weekday they have off.

GB says the same thing all of the time about watching his next show, but you'd have to be watching the day before to know it. Do you think the left's and the White House's free publicity for Glenn Beck is paying off? Remember, in TVland they don't care about number of fans, just number of viewers. Hannity saw a spike in his ratings after Obama criticized him. So did Rush Limbaugh.

Or, is Glenn Beck getting ratings because he's only one of a few media types doing investigative reporting and people are noticing? You know, if all of the TV chimps are doing opinion and he's doing opinion and investigation, maybe he has an edge.

  1. We do not "worship" them as you worship Obama. We do admire and respect them and their contribution to the country.
  2. We don't view them as "comedians/entertainers". While their shows have entertainment value, they are primarily about current events. They are political commentary. Opinion.
  3. If you wouldn't simply brush them off as "entertainers", you might actually learn something.
But, I know you people make that remark on purpose. It's intended to demean. It doesn't though. But it does show your arrogance.

You people worship the likes of someone like Michael Moore, who wouldn't know truth if it slapped him in the face. He is just a fat slob making tons of money peddling lies.

Rush and Beck actually do know what truth is, and are not afraid to speak it. That's what you people hate so much — right?

If you really thought he was such a joke, you wouldn't be giving him so much attention. But, hey, wow! Just look at all the anti-Beck posts! Must be he has some people very nervous and irritated, huh?

Kinda like the posts about Palin. She does make you people squirm, doesn't she? And now Beck (and of course Rush).

I absolutely love it when liberals squirm.

Sorry, but the idea that Rush and Beck know "the truth" is ridiculous. They may have a view based on an ideology but they don't know seek the truth like real journalists and reporters. If I'm not mistaken both have admitted that they aren't journalists. If it brings down the Democrats and brings up the Republicans they are going to run with it no matter how much of the "truth" they have to contort and stretch.
