Just curious-

All the libs say that everything is Bush's fault and that Obama is not responsible for the current status of ANYTHING in the US (economy, military, social programs, ect......)

Just WHEN does Obama become responsible? I thought it was when you took the oath, but apparently not. What happened to "the buck stops here"? Now it is "the buck stops there".

Can you give me a time frame? 1 year? 5 years? 20 years?

I figure the economy will be well on the way to recovery in the third year of this term. This will help him win in 2012 and pave the way for major reforms for the decade after.

Obama has picked up the buck passed to him by the neocons but that buck is so huge it cannot be whittled down to a couple of fingers in the near term. It will take at least two more years for the economy to stop declining.

I am just wondering when Obama becomes responsible, as most think he is not responsible for anything.

Can you give me a date? May 22, 2011? When is HE accountable for the nation?

And most of those "most" don't think they are responsible for anything themselves, so it's no surprise the attitude is pervasive.

What kind of buck did Clinton pass to Bush? Budget surplus? Nation at peace?

As much as you want everyone to think that our serious problems didn't exist prior to January 20th, I doubt that you'll get much traction. As Obama addresses these disasters left by Bush, you wingnuts scream "socialism" "fascism" and "communism" at your teabag parties.

But go ahead and keep on stoking your anger over imaginary scenarios.

Clinton passed a recession and the dot com bubble burst to Bush. Bush took responsibility for the nation.

Again, why do all libs fail to address anything in the present time and just try to justify current incompetance by relativism? It must be the new orders from George Soros. It is about as lame as calling everything "racist".

So WHEN DOES OBAMA BECOME RESPONSIBLE?????

LOL, you must be joking. Any problems encountered during the full eight years of the Bush Administration you people blamed on Bill Clinton.

Biden has already been claming how well the stimulus package is doing, so he owns the economy.

He became commander in chief on day 1, he owns the wars.

Interesting set of posts and replies. Thing is the government can only do so much to assist in building a healthier economy, anyone that believes the government is the major cause of the downturn in the economy is not only uninformed but is backing socialist ideals. Yes, the government can do some things to help get the ball roiling once again, but it business and consumers that drive where the economy goes. I would prefer the government focus more on how they can reduce the national debt and remove the excess waste in spending. As for the bailouts, I was against them under Bush and was against them under Obama, many of those that received it should have had to reorganize under bankruptcy rules or fail. The pain would have been harder but lasted less time. That said I also see that the economy IS improving, slowly but getting better. Maybe the bailouts did more than I know, or maybe once again the American economy is doing what it always does and swing upward after a major drop. Once the markets turn upward for a sustained period businesses will begin rehiring employees and the unemployment rates will fall, most businesses have stated they except to begin rehiring again next year, sounds good. Will the recovery take time, absolutely, we fell a long way and it takes more than a couple of months to get back on track and even longer to get anywhere near where we were when the drop began. My guess is several years and no, there is no set date, it is a gradual process. I find it amazing that so many have so little faith in American businesses and the American People, especially when we have proven time and time again that when faced with tough times we have faced and overcome those setbacks and continued to move forward.
