The Founders included instructions for dealing with a number of things that were hot topics in their time in the Constitution. Other equally weighty issues were not addressed by the Constitution at all. I expect for a reason.

I find it better to light one small candle than to curse the darkness.

We just celebrated the the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. If you're my age or older you will understand the significance of that event and all that had to take place before that could ever happen. Many along the way wanted to compromise with our ideological enemies. They lacked the vision of true patriots like Reagan who saw beyond the stalemate. The world is a screwed up place full of people who do not wish us well and never will. There is no olive branch Muslims will accept, but we can work to establish modern democracies in that part of the world, and perhaps, in time, bring the Middle Eastern nations into the twenty-first century.

What in Hell makes you think Israel is a Democracy? It is run by the same militarists that waste our men and money on Imperial Wars.

Just go to J-Stor or LexusNexus and type in arab-union arms race And you can see how it all happened.

You can also learn that Israel was pulling the chains of the US and Soviet Union at the time because it didn't know who would end up the "victor" of the Cold War.

Then France joined the Tripartite Declaration and Israel had to break its connections from the Soviet Union and you have the entire Middle East and eastern world hating Israel and its allies.

It's amazing how some of the folks in here can't see how their ideology about the Jewish people correlates with that of Kristallnacht and those same ideologies that allowed that atrocity to follow...

KRISTALLNACHT

Some people might want to take in a little information and seriously asses their stances against that moment in time.

Maybe some people do not believe in Theocracy. Which is why most of the world thinks non-secular governments make no sense and why many republicans/conservatives/libertarians have broken away from the theocratic reign that has been ushered into the republican party.

People on both sides of the political spectrum understand that "church and state" separate work.

I am not opposed to Judaism or support for Judaism but I am opposed to giving a religion a homeland, unless it can be done peacefully-ie Vatican City, so it might be better to find a new place. Find a place that supports Judaism and its beliefs.

God didn't tell them, the pope did.

Islam exploded out of the desert at the tip of the sword and were stopped only when Charlemagne was able to put up a defense....in France!. But of course, you have no problem with this.
