I have been reading several threads started by conservatives who are complaining that they are the "true" Americans and that liberals are traitors. And I recall Sarah Palin saying she enjoyed visiting parts of America that were "pro American"

So what defines a pro American? How do I know who is and who isn't a pro American? How do I know who is and who isn't a true American?

Thanks.

True americans drink PBR, not that funny french red wine crap. True americans drive pick-up trucks & SUV's, none of that Toyota good gas mileage prissy car junk. True americans hate all muslims. True americans sling their guns over their shoulder everywhere they go. True americans think their country can do no wrong...ever.

First of all you have to believe in and support the Constitution AS IT IS WRITTEN. Secondly you can't support terrorists. Sound like a group of people you might know about? Think about the big White House on the hill.

The 55 Maryland Farmers who wrote the damn thing didn't argee what it meant as written so it is more than a stretch to argue that 200 years and 300 million citizens later that we, today, would do any better. Which is about as ludicrous as arguing that those in the White House who are spending billions of dollars to kill "terrorist" and who are on the verge of trying a number of them for their crimes "support" terrorist. In short, you are as clueless about this question as you are when it comes to answering any others.

How do you know? We have a secret handshake. If you don't know it, then you're not.

Along these lines, today I read an article about Sarah Palin on the LA Times blog in which "Salem Republican Party Chairman Greg Habeeb told the Roanoke Times" that "She brings out a different crowd." It said that Habeeb was struck by the numerous non-Republicans he spotted in the line snaking all through the mall to see Palin at a book signing.

It made me wonder how he was able to spot "numerous non-Republicans"...did they have Obama pins? Pro-aborton/big government signs? Wear Birkenstocks? Then it hit me...the secret handshake!

It's an amazing world when when you can tell by looking.

But I would say that a pro-American is not one carrying the "Death to America" sign...

True Americans were either born here or became legal citizens. There are no other requirements.

A true American is more concerned with what is best for our people & country. An American willing to pay higher taxes so that the poor can have health care is true to the country. False Americans prefer to waste our resources fighting ridiculous and dumb wars then deny health benefits to our wounded soldiers. What kind of American would do such a thing? Republicans, that who They wave their flag & Bible claiming to be "true" Americans when, in-fact, they are selfish & uneducated traitors to our nation.
