The Muslim countries you speak of are perfect examples of what some of us don't want our country to become. They are terrible examples of what happens when a certain religious group has its way with government completely. I don't want our nation to have Islam as its official religion, just as I don't want Christianity to be its official religion. Our nation is great because it doesn't have an official religion. If Islam were eventually the dominant religion in America, and some were fighting to allow school-supported prayers to Allah, and scriptures from the Qur'an placed in courthouses, would you be okay with that, since they would be the majority? I wouldn't be okay with it all.

Sorry, I'm still not getting the 'fing lawyer' part. Unless, of course, you are attempting to attach a vulgar adjective to the word lawyer without being censored, in which case shouldn't it be 'effing lawyer'?

Since I notice you use 'fing' in almost every post and not just in connection with lawyers, I'm guessing I'm right.

Since it is the Christmas holiday that I buy presents for I only shop at stores that are selling Christmas gifts. These are the only stores I continue to business with the rest of the year.

Your first sentence states that Christmas is, indeed, a holiday. Yet you won't shop at stores that wish you a happy holiday? What makes an Ipod a Christmas gift or a Kwanzaa gift?

I beg your pardon. there again you are prone to exaggeration and misconstruction of the truth. I only use it where I believe it an effective representation required to accentuate disgust or disdain. Such a very effective word it has become but to keep it succinct and effective I agree it should be used sparingly so you are wrong i don't use it much. Never in front of women, unless of course with passion

No of course I would not be o.k. with it. No one is suggesting we have school sponsored anything. However we are naive and politically correct enough, due to the "feel good fix "the idiot left requires, that we will install foot baths for the Muslim faith and yet forbid our "Christian" children the elective of praying in school. It is a lunatic conformity to prevent expression of religion of any kind.

I've seen Christians do just that on these forums (and more so on others). Not saying you have, but "someone" is definitely suggesting it in America.

I can't speak for any other liberals, but I have a problem with any government sponsored favoritism toward any religion. I have no problem with expression of religion, as long as the government isn't promoting it. I'd be just as against Muslim prayer in school as I am Christian prayer in school, unless the school has nothing to do with the prayer.
