BOYCOTT ‘BEST BUY’ – They wish MUSLIMS “Happy EID” but won’t wish Christians “Merry Christmas” « Bare Naked Islam's Weblog
So as of 2006, their official policy has been to use Happy Holidays to be all inclusive and not use Merry Christmas. Guess that policy went out the window this year in their pandering to Muslims. Christmas is bad, except for all the sales money it brings retailers. But Muslim holidays are good. OK, this Christian is taking his money elsewhere this year cause Best Buy is off my list of stores to shop this holiday season. Instead of a jolly Santa, maybe they'll have someone dressed as a muslim suicide bomber to get people into the holiday spirit.
Christians (and their holiday) have it tough in America.
i started boycotting best buy when i saw them fighting with a customer trying to get a refund. he was trying to return a non-working television, and they demanded a restocking fee. he wanted to know why he had to pay a restocking fee on a just purchased broken item and they were still fighting when i left the store.
um Walmart made it a policy not to wish a Merry Christmas too. guess there are 2 stores you can cross off your list.
I think the simple issue is that our merchants are so concerned about being "PC" they don't want to offend anyone....ie wishing a Jew a MC... Guess I am not offended if some one were to wish me a happy Kwanzaa or Hanukkah. Seems we need to let things roll off as a whole. If someone wishes well on me I gladly accept those offerings and appreciate their kindness.
Take a stand, wish them well for what ever holiday it is. Be complete and aware of the other holidays beside your own. Never hurts to learn the ways of others.
