Let's Say Thanks (http://www.letssaythanks.com/Home1024.html - broken link)

It only takes 1 min. to send a thank you to our troops...you ca't choose who it is sent to, but it will show we support them where ever they are...even if you are against the war, you could at least support them who went to fight for freedom!

I was wondering where all of you stood on the Obey proposal on a war tax, from what I know everyone would pay 1 to 5% to pay for the 45 billion cost?Or do you think that the cost should be added to the debt and future generations will pick up the tab?
I hope you really choose to support the troops by supporting the tax and not running up the deficit that would make you a true patriot.Sending them a thank you card is just a wimp symbolic gesture that doesn't equal a bucket of spit.

As a cynical old non American ex infantryman I find that site to be the height of hypocrisy.
Much like those who are oh so keen on Americans going into combat as long as they are not one of them.
Should you not be demanding a tax increase to pay for more helicopters etc ? US troops running short of water is an absolute disgrace when the reason is a shortage of choppers.

There are other ways to pay for it - like cutting something else in this bloated bureaucracy.

This thread is sad - so few have come to wish the troops well.
