Was the Invasion of Iraq a CIA "Mistake" or a Bush "Mistake"? (John Kerry, Congress)

From the reports I've read, not news stories or commentary, the CIA told Bush what he wanted to hear. There was plenty of dissent within the "intelligence community", as a whole, but the dissent was never presented to the President. President Bush simply didn't want to hear it.
It's interesting to note the dissent came from experts while the assent came from the spooks.

As long as "mistake" is in quotes, it was Bush's "mistake."
As revealed in reports from our friends across the pond, Bush clearly wanted to invade Iraq and get rid of Saddam well before 9/11 ... not that Saddam had anything to do with 9/11, but it provided a handy excuse.
However, that certainly doesn't excuse the CIA. Our intelligence community MUST provide the facts as they know them to the President, rather than presenting what they believe the President wants to hear. The President is no different than anyone else when it comes to making decisions - the better and more accurate the information, the better the decision.
IMHO, the CIA has caused this country, and many others far more problems than any good they've ever done. Include in that the assasination of JFK. I wish the govt. would just defund the whole thing and send them packing. We've got multiple agencies doing the same thing anyhow. One less is not going to hurt our country.
Well Congress had to approve it, and many of the Democrats voted for it including Hillary Clinton, and John Kerry. So was it a Clinton or Kerry mistake?
It was a US mistake, but the buck stops with Bush. He believed what so many intelligence agencies were claiming.
It's just another reason why we should mind our own damn business, drop out of the UN and worry about our own.
