The logic is simple:

Barack Obama was the Hope N' CHANGE President.

The "change" half of that meme was 100% a repudiation of George W. Bush and his policies. Barack Obama was elected under the premise that America would turn away from the 8 years of the Bush Presidency.

Therefore, by blaming George W. Bush and resorting to "Bush did it, too!", then you have already lost the argument.

Barack Obama was supposed to "fix" the "mess" George W. Bush left through Obama's policy and vision of "change", not follow in Bush's policy footsteps with bigger shoes and and an even bigger footprint.

You were duped. By automatically reverting to George W. Bush in your defense of Barack Obama, you are inadvertantly admitting there has been no "change", and you don't even realize it.

Liberals are already well aware that Obama is disappointing as a progressive policymaker (if a bit underrated at the same time). That doesn't make it any less valid to point out the hypocrisy of conservatives who call Obama a marxist muslim agent for doing things that Bush or Reagan did.

Then what will they do if they are not able to use the awesome, debate ending comeback of "he's just like Boooosh, he's just like Boooosh."

The reason they think that lame 'just like Bush' comeback works, is because they are partisan hacks who cannot be honest or critical of Obama, so when they throw that lameness at us, they think we are partisan hacks like them, and we won't be able to criticize Bush.

Conservatives -- You Can't Pretend That Nothing The Bush Administration Did Had Any Effect On The Present.

But you try...by God, you try.

How can anything change when everything is obstructed?

Just a refresher.

and you cant pretend that obama couldnt change anything that the bush administration did, such as the NSA spy programs, which obama EXPANDED. obama had the opportunity to make changes, for instance when the patriot act came up for renewal, obama could have vetoed it, yet he choose to resign the act, why?

yeah, them democrats can be an obstinate bunch cant they? i mean virtually NO democrats voted for obamas budget proposals, and while the republicans tried their best to stop obamacare, they couldnt. in fact the reason it took so long to get passed was because DEMOCRATS stopped it, not republicans, they couldnt stop a thing for two years.

The cat is out of the bag. The internet is proving the republican party is turning into SPIT. You can make all the broad sweeping statements to try and cover for Bush but the world will not forget and neither will the American public.

"Equivocate" -- I don't think it means what you think it means.

Thanks for proving his point.

And you cannot supply any evidence Obama and the democrats have provided the change from the Bush administration you were duped into believeing was coming.

Sorry, right-wingers, but Bush happened, and we're going to keep reminding you of him until you cut the crap and face reality...

1) Double Standards: Pointing to Bush's failings does not mean Obama is doing a good job. It is simply pointing out the truth. This forum is full of blind right-wingers who like to feign outrage over Obama's actions while quietly ignoring that Bush did the exact same thing. They hide behind "patriotism," and yet only have problem with certain actions if a "liberal" does them. The hypocrisy is stunning around here.

2) The source of the problems: Bush created many of the messes we're dealing with today. Right-wingers love to pretend that such a thing never happened while ignoring how many of the problems are now simply unfixable, such as Iraqi. Had Bush and his cronies never happened, we wouldn't be in the mess we're in today.

3) Rewriting history: When all else fails, right-wing extremists just rewrite history and try to pretend that the nation was perfect until January, 2009. We all have a duty to remind them of the facts - that their party screwed up, and that Bush was the instrument of that failure.

I don't care if the right-wing loons like it or not. They all hide behind false patriotism and rewritten history, and when you point out Bush to them, they all idiotically think that means you "like Obama." I don't like him - but I like Bush less since he was a far bigger screw-up than any president we've ever had. And that is on YOUR party, right-wingers - own it!
