And believe it or not, there are still gullible twits that still believe in "global warming"! Probably the same types who believed in Santa into the sixth grade.

I have no use for Gore. A friend from college dated him (way back when) She said he is a tool. He comes across one way but he was very different then and (probably secretly still is) He was a country boy yet spoiled & very racist she said...Now a days he seems to embrace all but like most politicians..smoke & mirrors and lots of family money!

It really is funny when dimwits on internet forums attempt to make fun of the entire scientific establishment for "being dumb" and "still believ[ing] in global warming."

It's a bright spot in my day.

It's even funnier when those attempts are justified based on these "scientists'" suppression of data points.

Climategate was a wonderfully wrapped and delivered Christmas present!

Those "scientists" are not dumb, they are corrupt.

The dumb one are the ones who continue to believe their BS after it gets proven false over and over and over.

Are you somehow suggesting that the reductions in CO2 emissions that anyone has proposed would somehow kill off plantlife?

CO2, btw goes beyond simply a greenhouse gas. CO2 emissions increase concentrations of carbonic acid in our oceans as well and can cause other environmental issues other than just global warming...

Try to understand the far-reaching implications of reducing emissions into our atmosphere is a multi-faceted monster. To think, or suggest that EVEN IF global warming is inconsequential or non-existent that we don't need to be drastically reducing emissions is simply baffling to me....

Care to point me to where global warming has been "proven false"?

Global Warming Trend (some warming trends in the past century) or Anthropomorphic Global Warming (human caused global warming)?

Warming trends are evident, though the issue is more if we have warmed outside of historical context. Most would agree there has been warming trends, though currently there is evidence to suggest a cooling or leveling off to warming.

As for AGW? It hasn't even left the hypothesis stage, so proving it false is irrelevant. It hasn't shown any indication of being true. Which is what all the manipulation and issues with the field is about.

Well a current study:

Greenhouse gas carbon dioxide ramps up aspen growth (Dec. 4, 2009)

Shows a 50% growth in Aspen Trees due to increased Co2.

So, if we take this as such, then would not reductions also mean a decrease in growth?

Also, Ocean Acidification shows improved shell strength with some sea life:

News Release : In CO2-rich Environment, Some Ocean Dwellers Increase Shell Production : Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution

So we see positive aspects as well as some negative ones.

As you said, a "multi-faceted" issue, though monster would seem to imply that it is all bad when the facts do not support that assessment.
