Much like the secularists and the modern day environmental movement.

HALF of Evangelical Pastors look at porn.

Why even give money to these fakes?
You are an atheist, why do you even care?

Moron.
Come, now. You really shouldn't sign your posts like that. I'm sure you're not a moron.

And probably at least 1/2 those bashing President Bush DO go to church. Also at least 1/2 of those praising Obama DON'T go to church.

Go or don't go to church - as a poster said - you can't tell what's inside from looking on the outside.

My question is even if you do believe global warming is embellished or fabricated, what does that have to do with one showing respect for their environment??? Do you have to believe in global warning to recycle, lower your energy consumption, keeping your waters clean, and trying to lower our dependence on foreign oil by using energy efficient cars? Again, how is this a "liberal concept" To me that's a common sense goal than anyone with a half a brain would endorse regardless of their political and religious views. When I grew up, most conservatives were hunters and fisherman and they very much cared about our environment and helped to keep it clean. When did conservatives start attacking liberals for an idea they very much started and still show respect for.

Wonderful! I told my dad who struggled later in his life with bad memories of a hyprocritical old woman he once met in church. I asked him if he wanted to spend an eternity with her?

BTW, he eventually agreed with me.

Would you go only to the church where the people are without sin?

Even godless liberals have their god. It's a small 'g' because their god is the government. It will solve all of the problems of this world,

... if only it could get more of our taxes.

I can neither confirm or deny your statistics but many (at least 1/2?) Church-going Christians also bash Clinton, Carter, and a multitude of other leftist airheads, so what is your point?

This wasn't directed at me, but I'll take a stab at it. It's probably because a large minority of the US population practices fundamentalist strains of Christianity and simultaneously wield an enormous amount of political power. As such, these Christians, their beliefs and practices have a major impact on the lives of all of us. Therefore, we care.

I'll return the "wasn't directed at me" line and ask you what the fundamentalists have been able to deny you or withhold from you due to their political power. I see a lot of noise coming from them, but I don't see some sort of power coming from them.

I've seen other posts claim the fundies are a sort of American Taliban. I just don't see it. I don't see forced religious participation, there is still a separation of church and state here. Abortion is legal, gay marriage is being voted on in different states (and being denied in very liberal, non fundie states like NY).
