The best thing would be a big Republican win in 2010 to move him back to the center. This is exactly what happened after the 1994 elections with Clinton.
Obama can win reelection but it will be because the GOP nominee was worse. None of them are exactly inspiring I mean Palin, Romney, Huckabee, Haley Barbour and so on? We need a president like Reagan, Ike or even JFK.
