Lets see:

- The explosive failed to go off

- A couple of passengers threw PC to the wind and jumped
on an Islamic guy.

Sounds like a great plan Ms. Napolitano.

This, from the deer-in-the-headlights wonk that's heading up our Homeland Security.

This vid is priceless

As an added bounus:

"Asked whether al Qaeda was involved, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano told ABC's "This Week" program, "That is now the subject of investigation, and it would be inappropriate for me to say and inappropriate to speculate."

"Right now, we have no indication that it is part of anything larger," Napolitano told CNN's "State of the Union."

But a U.S. law enforcement official, speaking on condition of anonymity, confirmed media reports that Abdulmutallab had told investigators al Qaeda operatives in Yemen had given him the device and told him how to detonate it.".......

U.S. probing if al Qaeda linked to airplane incident - Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20091227/ts_nm/us_security_airline - broken link)

I'll bet that guy's gonna get a reprimand.

Of course she has to say that to save face.

No Marshalls onboard so passengers had to "be the police".
How the guy got on there to begin with is an international matter.
And he was in that terrorist watch database and still got to the US.

Yeah..the system is working NOT. Thankfully a handful of citizens (assuming they were all US citizens) took matters into their own hands.

Good job Joe Mainstreet. That's who saved the day..not Homeland Insecurity.

The only thing that worked was some individuals were alert and attacked the terrorist. The government completely failed.

I thought he boarded in Amsterdam. What does TSA and the US Gov. have to do with security in Amsterdam? He made it on the "Watch List" but didn't make it on the no fly list, yet. That might do with some scrutiny.

His father had also warned officials of his son. At least there should have been a Marshall on that plan. Enough red and yellow flags on this guy to deserve close watching..especially after his father alerted officials.

Other flights weren’t notified to take special measures for up to AN HOUR AND NINETY MINUTES after the incident?!

In the last 30 seconds or so of the video, if watched without the sound, she actually looks like she’s tap dancing!!!

Default System

A terrorist got on a plane with explosives. The system did not work, period.
What if one of your family members had been on the plane and this jitbag had been succesful. What you say then?

Not as well as it should. As I stated, the fact that he was only put on a watch list requires more investigation and probably correction. But it's not the "sky is falling" spin scenario you guys would make it. Bottom line is the main fault and breakdown was him being allowed on the plane with explosives and that was not an area of responsibility of the US Gov. or Obama aqdministration as much as you guys would like to spin it so. It was the responsibility of the security at the Amsterdam airport and that system broke down in this case.
