The quicker they realize they are out of touch with the average American (ie, NOT the ones you read here) the quicker they will have a chance of becoming relevant again. Even with Obama's low approval ratings, the GOP is disliked even more.

Michael Steele is a hack. He's not doing his job as the spokesman for the RNC. And it is no coincedence that he has just released a book for sale and I think this posturing is his try to increase book sales.

Default GOP Chairman Michael Steele doubts Republicans can retake the House

"GOP Chairman Michael Steele thinks Republicans have "screwed up" for the most part in the years since Ronald Reagan was president. And, he adds in an interview on the heels of his new book's release, Republicans won't win back the House in fall elections and might not be ready to lead even if they do."

At least he's honest.

They will pick up a lot of seats, but won't take control.

Hard to tell. The GOP will pick up plenty of seats but a lot can happen. If the Dems. push their goal of amnesty for all illegal aliens, which it looks like they're going to do, on top of the government take over of health care that nobody wants then I'd say the chances are better than 50-50 the GOP could pull it off.

So you DON'T think the GOP lost it's way? I do. That's why they aren't in power now.
