Agreed, we probably should have in hindsight, but it's a little hard to un-ring that bell now....

And it isn't as though that's been the crux of the Republican opposition either...

Democrats have never been known for their extraordinary foresight. I could have told Nelson that 10 months ago. But nobody asked me.

"Never waste a good crisis" is the mantra engrained into the entitlement-minded left.

Now they will pay for it at the polls. The writing is on the wall. This article is proof. Democrats have no one to blame but themselves.

he has prostituted himself and his state. he could have delayed it but instead chose to sell himself. The difference between him and a cheap ***** is he did not have to have sex to get the money

You are right. He is able to be bought. Instead of standing firm for what he thought.

Look at the reader's responses below the article. Looks like most think Nelson did the wrong thing by voting for the bill.

His polling numbers have dropped in his own state.

There is a reason hes saying this now and thats it.

But it only makes him look weak because he couldnt have stood up for his principles and focusing on the economy 1st

Read this persons comment

Thanks to Nelson, and his "ethics" my wife and I quit the Democratic party on December 24th.
I spent the entire holiday season convincing other memebers of my family to quit as well. And I have been pretty successful at it. I am now continuing the my crusade with friends.
