I don't get it. How was that a racist statement? You must be assuming that getting coffee for someone is a stereotype of black people. Seems like an odd assumption.
Hey that was pretty smart for you to play dumb at the right time! Quick thinking!
I agree completely. Obama was a junior senator who was not ready to run for president. The phrase 'running for coffee" just means that he would have been running errands for the senior politicians and hanging out with them while getting the necessary experience as a politician. In that interview that Obama did for the Columbia University magazine a year before his run, Obama said that he wasn't ready to run for president... so yeah, a bunch of us think that Obama should have been "running for coffee" and spending more years as a senator before running for president.
And yet, with all of that being said, now Bill Clinton's wife gets Obama's coffee.
Yes, I think there's plenty of racism to go around on both sides. It's nuts to say that this quote of a quote is proof positive the entire Democratic party is racist.
And yet, with all of that being said, now Bill Clinton's wife gets Obama's coffee.
No, Hillary is not an insider even as Secretary of State. She is on the outside not wasting her time looking in on these losers. If she was an insider, she sure as H would not be getting coffee for Obama.
And yet, with all of that being said, now Bill Clinton's wife gets Obama's coffee.
WRONG. You're way off base here! How do you figure that the Secretary of State gets any US president coffee? Did Henry Kissinger ever get coffee for Nixon? Don't you know your political system structure? Geez...
If Newt Gingrich had made the same statement there would be hell to pay on this forum. Give me a break with the indignation that nothing can be inferred from Clinton's statement!!

Exactly. If a republican had made the comment, the Left would be frothing with rage.
That statement means that Clinton did not consider Obama an equal. That is racist.
No. What if Clinton just didn't Obama his equal in political expertise and experience? And that wouldn't have anything to do with the colour of Obama's skin. Stop throwing the race card around already.
