Watertown Daily Times | Amish families exempt from insurance mandate

Quote:
WASHINGTON — Federal health care reform will require most Northern New Yorkers — but not all, it turns out — to carry health insurance or risk a fine.
Hundreds of Amish families in the region are likely to be free from that requirement.

Huh? so can I opt-out because I am Christian?

I love how Dem's try to come off as the party of equality, but turn out this garbage bill that is full of favoritism.

Government-mandated health care insurance is unconstitutional. I hope the White House gets hit with a slew of lawsuits.

We dont have a president we have a commander in thief.

this bill either exempts or pays off half the country. so not only do the rest of us have to pay for those who are exempt, we have to PAY many of those who are exempt.

I dont see how anyone can be fore this stupid bill. People need to go to jail over this.

HAHA.

To the OP: yeah, when the majority of Christians start driving around in horse and buggy and start making awesome fireplaces, then you can ask for your tax-exempt status.
