Obama just started his 2nd year in office, the economy didn't turn around until Reagan's 3rd year in office.

An interesting address he made regarding the economy.. Less than a month before he was shot.
Quote:
"Our aim is... not just to redistribute what we already have, which is just a sharing of scarcity"
That's my fave part of his speech. R's contradict themselves incessantly when they claim the government doesn't create jobs, commerce creates them, then turn around crying to Obama that he didn't create a job. He stemmed the tide in scope and depth for losses. Operating capital seizing up for all industries would have meant a padlock on the door of every business in America. That, I consider, far closer to depression conditions than what Reagan had in his lap day one.

His innovative approach to government was radical, and something I would have loved to see him deliver. What was delivered was a redistribution shell game that only increased in sophistication because Government had changed it's mission statement to mimic commerce. That was the turning point where the government and commerce became partners in a joint effort, at the expense of citizens. Those fellow americans spitting on the ground about voodoo economics deserved peoples ear because if we're saying our way is for the good of all, it really should be for the good of all.

The decline was long and not limited to any political party in power. It began in late 50's. The real health of America can be measured by the health of it's middle class.

What the hell does that have to do with the fact Obama is just starting his 2nd year in office, and the economy under Reagan didn't start to improve until his 3rd year in office?

But at least there was somethign to stickle down more than more debt to payoff.Reagan was a great president if you likie result rather than rethoric or like havign someone poited out why you are suffering to avoid responsiblity for failure of policy.

At the same point in his Presidency that Obama is currently in, what were the results?

We are in a depression/recession, the real unemployment is about ~17-20% and this administration has yet to reach out to the private sector nor have they made any moves to stimulate the private sector. TARP nationalized a portion of our economy and the Stimulus only went to States and other gov't grant recipients. The admin is not focused on the private sector and they're not going to be. The MO is to advance the agenda, not job creation.

Not only did Obama inherit a worse economy, but he's dealing with a mess of other things too (2 wars, climate/energy, a mess of social issues, being black, etc).

It is extremely hard to follow this post. Everyone is guilty of typos from time to time, myself included, but this is insane... Reagan was working at cutting the deficit?? Interesting.....

Anyway in the part of your post I was able to make out, I somehow did not notice an even remote attempt at answering the question.
