Do we need a second economic stimulus?

If the first one was a botch, why would a second be any different?

I vote debt.

Obama Won̢۪t Seek Second Major Economic Stimulus (Update1) - Bloomberg.com

Troubled Asset Relief Program. Troubled Consumer Jobs Creation program.

How do you make jobs without money? How do you make money wthout jobs? How can you kill that, which has no life?
Since the first stimulus didn't work, why try a 2nd one? duh!

then maybe they shpuld ACTUALY spend on things that CREATE JOBS

here is an IDEA:

with all the monies that we spent on tarp/bailouts/omnibus we could have put a solar electric system on EVERY single family HOUSE in america,,,,which would have saved EVERY homeowner 100-300 dollars A MONTH from now on,,,and would have saved the enviroment (ie no more need for coal).....do the politicians (especially the 'pro' enviroment lefties) even think about that.....NOPE, ...why...because they only care about POWER, not you

Can you tell the difference between a government and a household? It doesn't really seem like it here.

Try imagining where our, and the rest of the world's, economies would be if the first stimulus had not been implemented? Now we need one for you and I and our own industries. Every household should be given at least $10,000 and told they have two years to spend it on American made products.

We can pay the money back with real progressive income taxes on the upper 1%.

So, you are finally admitting Limbaugh, Beck, and the rest of Rupert Murdoc's cronies along with the GOP are on the payroll of corporate America (you must not have been reading my posts because I've likewise criticized the Dems on this). Good for you.

You must not read the info, I linked to because it is straight talk from the mouth of an insider that clearly demonstrates the need for public campaign finance reform and a reversal of the ruling from the 5 right winging corporate activist judges AND for the renegotiating or ending of trade agreements that make Asia a rich groom and America a banana republic bitc,..., er,..., bribe to be.

"corporations" donate about equally between the right and left

its the UNIONS that are where the trouble is 90% of the donations from unions go to the left

The only stimulus I can see is making the tax rate a single number for all incomes and do away with deductions and credits... the only change would be filing status and the taxes they pay... 1) It would make less productive people more productive cause their taxes went up (also mandate minimum salary laws (not hourly but salary - everyone goes on salary wages, eliminate hourly wages for 18 and over) 2) Makes the Uber-wealthy pay an actual fair share of their taxes 3) The rest will get money BACK and stimulate the economy on their own... bam, done!

The first step to recovery is admitting fault. This administration will never admit that their first stimulus was a complete and utter FAILURE to the n'th degree. Egos prevent them from seeing what's smack dab right in their face.

Continue on with failed policies and bankrupt our country in the process. Thank you Mr. President.
