Cut and paste error. Obama would never support extending the Patriot Act. He bashed Bush for it, remember?

LOL you nailed it. He knows a jobs bill will be passed so he moves to insert the PA into it. How's that for kicking your own Democratic allies in the gonads?!

I tell ya, I never dreamed that politics could be funny, but the beating that Democrats are taking from every angle is just downright good entertainment!

another interesting bit of information for those who think government is getting like big brother:

EU-US debate – tackling terrorism or invading privacy?

The European Parliament is debating an agreement that allows the banking data of its citizens to be scrutinized by American officials.

Washington says this measure is vital to counter terrorism, but many in Europe see it as an invasion of privacy.

In a deal that came into force temporarily last Monday, the EU and the US are sharing banking data conducted through the SWIFT money transferring system.

It's definitely in there...

http://www.unitedliberty.org/article...act-provisions

Since he's been in office and has learned more about the reality of terrorism and what our country is facing, he's changed his views on many things to do with protecting our country.

It's a much needed piece of legislation.

Good for him.

He's so proud of his new found critical thinking skills, he buried it on page 125 with nary a peep from Gibbs.
Must be he doesn't want to alert the "man made disaster" makers that we are on to them.
