Yes but there are studies to show that circumcising a newborn baby can be an extremely stressful experience, especially to be your first experience immediately after being born.
But there are much more painful experiences the child suffers after that. Infact cirumcism is not soley done for religious reasons but for hygine. I am against female cirumcism but not male ones. Female circumcism impedes sexual pleasure when they get older but male ones do not.
Anyway political correctness into family life has at times gone too far and this the OP puts on demostrates that.
Really? I've never met one. I don't count anyone on the fringe of anything though. If it was that bad no men would allow their male son's to be circ'd. That's all anyone can do so let them do it. Nobody else cares.
I think the Kuran does not mandate circum,so for muslims it is even easier...
The muslim culture is what perpetuates this practice. There is no mention of circumcision in the Ku'ran, but Muhammad was said to have stated "Circumcision is a sunnah", or customary/traditional. Muslims typically perform this "rite of passage" on their sons around the ages of 6-9. It is very ritualistic and involves ceremonial attire. here is a picture of a ceremonial circumcision costume...

I think that any male who is circumcised should be able to SUE both the physician who performed it and anybody else- including his parents- who did it. You don't have a right to cut off a piece of a baby's anatomy unless it is medically necessary to do so. I have 3 boys and none of them were mutilated at birth.

Wait a second. So now, even the suggestion that circumcision for babies is unnecessary is because of "political correctness"?
Often, I think people who use the term "political correctness" are afraid of having their beliefs questioned, or they're unable to defend their beliefs.
The umbilical cord does fall off on its own. How do you think other mammals propagate without the aid of delivery rooms and surgeons? It's not convenient, but it doesn't pose a health risk either.
That's media fluff, not a peer-reviewed paper. They don't even mention the name of the study they're citing, nor its author(s).
