The guy was seriously frustrated with all forms of government, hated the IRS, attended seminars on how to avoid paying his taxes, and was willing to destroy a government building and the people who worked there.

Sounds like a Republican.

Guess you only read 1/2 of his manifesto. Read his "liberal" sided rants and get back to us.

No sane person can "empathize" with this murderer. He's a whack-o with serious mental issues. He sounds more like a separationist/anarchist if anything.

That was quite a stretch there, OP. This guy was simply a wack-job who couldn't handle responsibilities and pressure. There's nothing to label as Dem or Pub. Geesh...

I don't know. There are now websites and online groups being created to "celebrate" Joseph Stack as some sort of hero, and there have been comments on this forum that indicate an admiration and empathy for him. In some cases, they have an attitude of "This is what happens when the government ticks people off."

Anyone who sympathizes with this loony who attempted to kill his own family and countless of employees in that IRS building needs a psychiatric evaluation. Sane folks would condemn such attacks.

Oops. In the title of this thread, I meant "empathize", not "emphasize".
