Well, according to Leviticus, the same chapter in the bible referenced by that beauty queen about the gay man, this man should be put to death too. The bible says so...
"And if a man take a wife and her mother, it is wickedness: they shall be burnt with fire, both he and they; that there be no wickedness among you."
-Leviticus 20:14
Where is all the outrage...why do people pick and choose what they feel is applicable in the bible? A man should not lie with another man is constantly being repeated but what about the part about adulterers and this specifically says a man should not be with his mother in law. Too many hypocrites thinking they are the chosen ones. If we all followed what the bible says, we'd all be put to death for some reason or another.
Are you saying people are supportive of his actions? The argument I was making is that you can't invalidate the position because someone didn't hold to it. That is, this mans actions does not invalidate the moral position to which he may have claimed. It simply invalidates him as he did not hold to the position he claimed.
As for putting him to death... well.... do we put homosexuals to death now? If we did, then I would see your point, but we do not.
Also, those are the old laws and punishments, they are no longer enforced. This does not invalidate the core of those laws (Adultery, homosexuality, etc...) being wrong. It simply means that those who do sin in this manner are no longer punished by the law.
Do some more reading on the old and new testament and how they relate to each other.

Watch and see what happens to his political carrer as a conservative. Unlike liberals, conservatives kick these people to the curb.
They need to be in the Democrat Party where they are given standing ovations in congress for behavior like this.

It has everything to do w/family values because......these types are the same people who claim to embrace & live by family values & clearly they don't. While this incident happened 10 years ago, it's still highly disturbing, I don't care who you are.
