What I want to know is why the school is shoving this couple's sexuality down our throats! Yet another instance of homosexuality in the news, that would not have been exposed if it weren't for discrimination.

Shouldn't it be kept in the bedroom?

Default The usual lynch mob is here...

With the size and number of Catholic schools, it does not take much imagination to think that there would be many children of gay couples now attending Catholic schools....without any problem.

So, what is the whole story about this couple?...Something is wrong with this too brief story.

How about providing some details on the couple...Perhaps there may be some other issues...????...Perhaps in their politicizing their lifestyle?

LIke some wrote here - The Catholic schools do not target children of couples that do not comply with it's teachings...As a matter of fact, there are many religions (and non-religions) represented in the classrooms of Catholic schools.

There is something too brief about this story...isn't there?

What's the whole story? How about more info on these particular parents?

I understand that they have the right to kick the kid out but personally I think it is just yet another blow to the Catholic Church. With all the scandal they have had over the past 10 years they should really be thankful anyone wants to send their kids there.

And I agree with I forgot which poster it was that said nice how they pick and choose which "sins" they will act on. Ridiculous.

funny how you sue them for the behavior and when they react you denounce them on CDF.
What do predator pedophile priests sexually abusing children have to do with two lesbian moms???? Or two gay dads for that matter?

When a priest has heterosexual sex with a minor do you think the catholic church should distance themselves from all heterosexual behaviour? Or just pedophile behaviour?

Can you not see the difference?

Apparently not all Catholic schools are accepting of non-Catholics. I particularly liked John Doe's response to the Pastor's letter. [See Posted by: John Doe | March 05, 2010 at 11:18 PM]

3.5.10 - Statement on School Policy :: Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic School, Boulder

A principal reason parents place their children in Archdiocese of Denver Schools is to reinforce the Catholic beliefs and values that the family seeks to live at home. To preserve the mission of our schools, and to respect the faith of wider Catholic community, we expect all families who enroll students to live in accord with Catholic teaching. Our admission policy states clearly, “No person shall be admitted as a student in any Catholic school unless that person and his/her parent(s) subscribe to the school’s philosophy and agree to abide by the educational policies and regulations of the school and Archdiocese.”
Parents living in open discord with Catholic teaching in areas of faith and morals unfortunately choose by their actions to disqualify their children from enrollment. To allow children in these circumstances to continue in our school would be a cause of confusion for the student in that what they are being taught in school conflicts with what they experience in the home.
We communicated the policy to the couple at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic School as soon as we realized the situation. We discussed the reasons with them and have sought to respond in a way that does not abruptly displace the student but at the same time respects the integrity of the Catholic school’s philosophy.

The pastor at Sacred Heart of Jesus School in Boulder addressed the school and parish community in a letter.
Read the letter, as posted on his blog.

I think people can picket and demonstrate against their policy. But they have a right to choose the policy
