Wrong. The only reason they are endorsing it is because they have a backroom deal with the dems to reinstate the "doc" fix. Which means once the bill is oases the dems will add back the almost $400 billion savings that was supposed to come from reduction in Medicare payments to doctors.
It's a game now. Mislead and hopefully no one realizes that this "budget savings" the CBO put out yesterday is really going to add to the defecit once all the "fixes" are added back to the bill.
IF the AMA endorses the bill, then the bill is bad for consumers. The AMA and Members of the AMA have always wanted every american insured. What they don't want is pricing restrictions on how much they can charge. I mean think about it. What is perfect for Doctors is no limit on what a doctor can charge and guaranteed payment.
I am in favor of expanding medicare coverage, which the AMA is against because it would put restrictions on what hospitals can charge.
So? A few board members are not representing their members very well then. Not only that, about 1/3 of their members are still students, and only half of the members are practicing physicians.

Yeah, My wife works in the field. It is hard to find a Doctor that is happy with this.
