Well, the number of home schoolers are dramatically rising as parents learn what is going on in public schools.

It will continue to rise as much as is possible (considering some folks have no means to homeschool or private school and are unfortunately dependent on the public schools.) But, Home Schooling is definitely on the rise.

Unfortunately, it will take some time as most of these "changes" are being done in an underhanded way. For example, notes are not being sent home to state the change in gender specific bathrooms. In fact, if you read the story, you will see that the 5 Member Unelected Commission tried to get this past without notifying the public and when the public still found out about the meeting and came to voice their opinion, they were forbade to do so. Fortunately, in spite of that, they spoke out loud and clear against this plan, causing the Commission to adjourn their meeting and table the issue for now. The Commission stated they will reset the date and this time notify the public. Hmmmmmm.

So, many of these changes, (I could go on) happen in a very surrepticious fashion which is just not right. People need to have a voice and not have this stuff snuck in on them.

To have a small amount of home schooling is a laud shout of no confidence in the system. The number of people that can home school is limited. The number that do is a fraction of that.

Home schooling is a joke. It's an inconsequential number of students, most of whom will spend the rest of their lives trying to recover from the experience.

Surely you joke. Numerous studies show that home schoolers out perform their public school peers. Home Schooling is not what it used to be. It is definitely superior and on the rise. (BTW, nice go at trying to hijack this thread and burying some important info.)
