We can solve this real easy do you think its racist to tell an irish man to go back to Ireland. I am guessing you only think something is racist if it involves a black person.
What makes it racist is the intent and the delivery. I can usually see the difference.
Although I don't think much of the Tea Party, I don't think it is racist when they are addressing Obama, who many of them think is African and not US-American.
But when it is said to other AAs, it sure is a racist remark. It is also a common insult of blacks here in Europe, by the way. Given that 99.x of AAs have never been to Africa, it would be ridiculous to say go BACK to Africa
More than likely yes. Because the person that said it knows darn well that who they are telling have never been to Africa. I wish someone would tell me that, I'd reply "You first". If you think about it....we all came from Africa.

i don't think you're going to get an answer. i asked holdie a similar question on a different thread, and he promptly vacated the premises.
Everyone comes from somewhere. Most "white" americans come from Europe somewhere... I don't think they would like to be told to go back to Norway, or Russia, or Ireland or anywhere they originally came from. Anyone born in the US is not "African, or European," etc but American.
Well seeing how that is where he came from no its not racist. Liberals try to turn anything into a race based argument. It is like watching children fight.
