Several days ago 500 members of the union, SEIU, went to the house of an official of the Bank of America to protest the normal thing, people losing their houses. People who couldn't keep up their payments but were told by Barney Frank to go ahead because banks had to lend them money.
Anyway with bullhorns and protest signs these union thugs and thugettes tromped around on everybody's lawns and even cowed the police. They were screaming at the house in which a 15 year old boy was alone and scared to death of what was going on. A neighbor, Nina Easton, who is the chief editor for Fortune Magazine called to try to help the boy calm down. The father, who the crowd was ostensibly after walked through them to get in the house to get to the son. You can read Easton's story here:
The lie is that Easton's husband works for a large bank that according to Easton, he doesn't. Today Easton was on with Megyn Kelly (Fox News, of course) and said very openly that MM's claim was patently false in that her husband is a strategist and his company is employed by many companys and not at all exclusively by any bank.
Go ahead and read both links and then stay at MM and see all their attempts to disclaim Kelly. I love her and was really thrilled to find a ready source of her shows on MM. They spin, stretch, roll over and generally make any story fit their agenda which is, of course, to keep left leaning people leaning left.
Barney Frank, the Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee , who is in control and knows what the banking pulse is, along with his roll on the Housing Committee. That is who's lawn you need to trample.
Quote:
In 2003, while the ranking Democrat on the Financial Services Committee, Frank opposed a Bush administration proposal, in response to accounting scandals, for transferring oversight of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac from Congress and the Department of Housing and Urban Development to a new agency that would be created within the Treasury Department. The proposal, supported by the head of Fannie Mae, reflected the administration's belief that Congress "neither has the tools, nor the stature" for adequate oversight. Frank stated, "These two entities...are not facing any kind of financial crisis.... The more people exaggerate these problems, the more pressure there is on these companies, the less we will see in terms of affordable housing."[51]Conservative groups criticized Frank for campaign contributions totaling $42,350 between 1989 and 2008. They claim the donations from Fannie and Freddie influenced his support of their lending programs, and say that Frank did not play a strong enough role in reforming the institutions in the years leading up to the Economic crisis of 2008.In 2006 a Fannie Mae representative stated in SEC filings that they "did not participate in large amounts of these non-traditional mortgages in 2004 and 2005."In response to criticism from conservatives
The facts are showing themselves, though..... Aren't they.
They found they did participate and then some. Why is it Freddie & Fanny got off scott free?

Freddie and Fannie managed to duck any regulation with Bush and Republicans in control so it is obvious why they are getting by and getting more bailouts with the group in control today.

From the MM article: "...All the more reason, then, that Easton should have disclosed -- in her column and on Fox News -- that her husband has ties to Bank of America.
In other words, Easton's husband receives money from a group of business leaders that includes the CEO of Bank of America. That's certainly a piece of information that Easton should disclose when she speaks about these protests.
He does. B of A is a client. They do not contend he works for B of A, Roy, they say he has TIES to them, which he does.

As a real supporter of MM, can you tell me when they will be suing Easton for calling them liars? Surely you know that.
I do wonder what saying that would have added to her article in Fortune. Maybe you can tell me about that.

Reason: Needs more.
I love to look at Fox News people and so going to Media Matters is the place to do that.
I have their copy of Presidential behavior for all to see. That place is really some kind of kicks. Of course, I know that their primary duty these days is the discrediting of Fox News and Rush Limbaugh.
