You don't get it
God was not and is not a Christian version. The method of the message is where versions step in. It does not mean they did not have a deep faith in god, even if they did not attend any church. God was in homes at that period. The home was the church for many.

No, there certainly were churches, GW attended though he didnt take part in the sacraments. There are many different versions of ¨God¨as you know. Many of the FFs addressed and referred to the Supreme Being.

So there isnt anything that´s come down to us from GW regarding his specific faith in Christ as his savior?

Washington felt charity should be from the sweat of the brow to help thy neighbor, not by gold. With gold, who needs a neighbor to help?
Washington believed in communities.

Goodness, I doubt Glenn Beck is pushing that interpretation!

Deists typically reject most supernatural events and tend to assert that God has a plan for the universe that is not altered either by God intervening in the affairs of human life or by suspending the natural laws of the universe.

Have you read the preamble to the Constitution?

He did believe in the Christian God. You do not have to worship(which happens in church) to be a believer. You think I'm some bible thumper don't you! LOL!!

It's none of my business what you are. In this thread you've set out some claims that weren't true, though, and that's what really isnt right.

You see what I mean, though? GW being a bit of a community organizer, choosing love and sweat over money when it comes to helping others... sounds like the biblical social justice, not the Beckian kind.
