She's a politician. Why should I trust her? I'm looking to see how Arizona went about taking the issue of immigration reform through the senate channel.

Again, what immigration reform are you talking about?
Amnesty is not going to stop the crime coming form Mexico.

What evil are you talking about...The Alamo - where the fat coward Santa Anna and his "brave" army of 2,000 Mexicans slaughtered the 200 people defending the Alamo - Even slaughtering those that surrendered.

Yet, when Sam Houston and the Texans caught the murderous cowards (including the fat sow Santa Anna), they let them go.

Are you talking about how the USA was called on to save the world during the great wars?...Or whenever a calamity occurs, everyone looks towards the USA for help?

You should get on your knees and thank God that the USA exists.

The reform bill that was up for debate last month. GOP was opposed to taking it up and wanted (and succeeded) to get it postponed. Obama wanted to bring it up, again, after SB1070 was signed into law, only to be dismissed by the puppets of the politicians and the media that "now" he wants it.

I'm sure you can google up the details.

So what? Arizona should have worked with the federal government on the issue. Immigration was on the table for discussion but GOP didn't want to discuss it "for now" (election year it is, after all). They walked out in lock step as usual. Why not demand immigration NOW instead? Wait... elections!

But you're too, well..., to get that.
If the reform includes amnesty then it is wrong. If it doesn't require the illegal to return to country of origin and apply the way every other immigrant has had to do it then it is wrong. If there is no accountability for the crimes committed then it is wrong.
The repubs are as guilty as the dems for failing to enforce the law. Only a fool can't see this fact.
To simply say oh well they are here already give them a pass sends the wrong message.
If immigration reform doesn't include securing the border then it is wrong.
If it doesn't include dropping the hammer on anyone and I do mean anyone who knowingly hires an illegal then it is wrong.
Obama's reform seems to include get out of jail free cards for the illegals.
Pay back taxes? How do we intend to enforce that? When did you first enter the USA? Hmmm 1 month ago. When did you first start to work here? Last week.
Hmmm That sounds about right .
Its an insult to every immigrant who followed the rules.

Remember, we don't have dictatorship and we don't have a pure democracy (even then you would have to compete with a lot of votes). It doesn't matter how you want it. Besides, why not have a televised debate and provide ideas instead of asking to shelf the bill until after the elections?

How about the majority of the country?
Tell me why should we grant an amnesty? Has it worked in the past?
Why should we reward criminal behavior? Has that worked in the past?

Obama is not going to sign any immigration bill that doesn't include amnesty.
So what's the point in "talking it up"?

And that would be fine, and a legal process. It is how our government works. Doesn't it?

What you want, doesn't matter. All you can do is... don't vote for Obama.

Not that you would, anyway, but I'm sure you would vote for those who actually don't want to even discuss the reform and present ideas... because it is time for you to vote.
