"Without More Cash and Organization, Movement May Be Unable to Repeat Small-Market Victories

"The raucous and costly Republican primary races in California and Nevada, like those in other states, attest to the tea-party movement's rising influence. But Tuesday's votes in the two states will be the first big test of the movement's promise and limits—and offer clues to its nationwide strength this fall."

I thnik they are and will ahve a effect on both parties as we are seeing in every race. They certainly are having a large effect on even the indepenent voters and the platfiorms of both parties candidates. For a movement that is very young and not affliiated with either party they have vast power by effecting both. candiadites in both parties are going crazy distancing themsleves form washington more than ever. Incumbents in both parties are scrabbling. I am not a tea party but I see the efect very night now including the political journalist who dismissed them one year ago.I see more and more candiates runnng as "independent" by what they say and wanting less party leadership support on the campaign trail.Kennedy's senate seat was like a shot heard around the nation by those in politics.Other elctions and primaries showed the sameand it wouldn't be going away. There will always be journalist with senior party officals as sources that will print whatever they are told to keep the spurce in both parties like this article.only a fool would ahve seen the efect already by listening to all candidates.
