Once again the PSL Police are setting up traps to catch speeders. Yesterday they gave out a $1100 ticket to a guy doing wheelies down US1 on a motorcycle. This is a new sweep they have been advertising.

Just be careful where you are and remember PSL Police don't play with speeders. Three sites I see them regularly are at the bottom of the hill east of I-95 on the crosstown expressway, Savage road and where the new tire store is just east of Home Depot on Gatlin.

I noticed police waiting for speeders near the FAU/ Indian River State college and near the circle shape on California Avenue.

If he was doing wheelies on us #1 he SHOULD have gotten a ticket! GEEZ! There is major traffic thre and someone could have been killed.

Savage? ummmm..well...guess I will have to tread lightly there now! LOL!!

Crosstown...heck I know they are ALWAYS there somewhere and I travel that a LOT.

Almost two years has passed when my Vietnam Veteran buddy's 19 year old daughter was turning a corner in her car and killed by a speeder who was going through a Red light in Ft Pierce...The offenders car that struck my buddy's daughter's car was a brand new rental and was reported to have bullet holes originating from iside the auto to the outside... There was a ton of politics involved in this case but the bottom line is that someone didn't obey the law and several kids lives were shortened....

We should always obey traffic laws and if one picks up a ticket for Driving Drunk or going through a Red light, Speeding or Texting or Speaking on a Cell Phone up to their ear while driving, I believe the maximum penalty by law should be placed upon them... PSL or Ft Pierce or WPB areas have the same driving laws. So it doesn't mean if you don't see a police car then traveling over the limit is OK....It is simly called Ethics. The Policemen and Policewomen who enforce our laws should really be called Ethical Squads.....

Just drive safely and some do require cell phones to keep up with their business or just need to talk while driving should have Bluetooth attached.

I always drive the speed limit in PSL. The Police are very proactive and because of that the crime rate is so low that if they didn't put up speed traps they would have nothing else to do LOL. Some areas though they want to keep traffic moving so they ignore the speeders otherwise they could give out hundreds of tickets a day but it would take 45 minutes to get anywhere because of all of the traffic stops.

I don't have a problem if they give out tickets as long as it is for safety. If it is for another reason then that is totally wrong.
