Are you serious? More true factoids come out of the Onion on a weekly basis than come out of Fox News in a decade.

The Onion is indeed total satire. Very true. But occasionally more Truth comes out of satire than the "facts" given to us by the mainstream media.

At least on this particular issue, I have found it to be true. We spent about 10 years living in a metro area on the west coast. And the only truly safe neighborhoods were for the rich. Neighborhoods where middle class families could afford to live were dangerous with failing schools, and the poor neighborhoods were almost demilitarized zones.

But hey, that's what 35 years of trickle down economics will get you. The rich get all the wealth and power and the rest of us can beg for scraps.
