My partner and I are an older gay couple who moved to Gorham outside of Portland; I dont know that it is "gay friendly" but it sure isnt unfriendly. We get along very well and love it. My son and daughter-in-law live near the Saco/Scarbourgh line...out in the country....they fly the rainbow flag in solidarity! They havent had a single problem. We attend the Unitarian Universalist Church of Biddeford/Saco on School Street in Saco.....it is a welcoming congregation and there are more than several lesbian and gay couples who attend there. We love it.

You should have no trouble any where in this area. The resort town of Ogunquit is as gay friendly as Provincetown.

Welcome. You are moving to a really wonderful area.
