Default Got here last dec...

I'm fine with the weather. I hike and walk a lot so I enjoy the coolness. Must be a light winter hardly any rain.
And for example...it was raining here today. I walked in it for an hour and was barely wet. The drops r pretty light. I've rarely had to wear rain gear but have a couple times when it rained harder.

The spring and summer were fantastic and practically rain free. If its overcast with a few drops I hardly consider that rain. I find the clouds and rain dramatic and beautiful.

So in answer to the question I love it. Much rather hike or walkin 45 degrees than 78 as was in CA!

Loving Oregon!!

My son spent 90 minutes outside in Gresham last night during soccer practice. His shoulders & cap were soaked, but that was about it, and it rained (drizzled) constantly the entire time.

I went outside half an hour ago and it's sunny, 50 degrees, and it looks like flock of Robins invaded our neighborhood.
Squirrels are everywhere.
Trees have buds on them.
Bi-Mart has flowers on sale out front.
Being outside feels different.
I want to go drive up the gorge and go bass fishing.

I got Spring Fever BAD.

But I'm not going to fall for any of this. I know what's coming.

OK I confess. I went to the store and bought a big packet of Peas and some carrot seeds.
At least I can plant something!!!

Speaking as a first time resident, I hope there's more to come or I'll have to consider a lot of the drama over the weather here to be just that; DRAMA.

Anyone in Portland who is feeling sun deprived can always drive over to Bend for the day, or a weekend. If you don't want to drive that far, you can just go to the lodge at Warm Springs, or the golf course at Crooked River Ranch.

Check the weather, first, so you don't get here during one of our rare storms.

Lots of Portlanders come over here for a quick recharge their solar batteries

Yeah this is our usual Feb teaser but we always enjoy it while it's here.

Saw a single Camelia blooming yesterday on a big plant full of buds.
If we get some nice weather this weekend, they should be in full bloom!

YAY!
