Basically "everyone is moving to Oregon." It's hard for me to word it so just click the article. Oregon even passed DC.
The person who wrote the story doesn't understand what the study says.

It doesn't say that more people are moving to Oregon than any other state.

It says that a higher percentage of people are moving in than moving out.

In absolute numbers, I am sure that far more people are moving to large population states such as Florida (which just passed New York in population) and Texas and so on.

Thanks, EnricoV. I'm still confused. Driving east, it seems like there is a lot of room for development, so why is all the infill going in inner NE and SE?

Well, the infill is going on, because it's still more desirable to be in town than in the outer area. That's just supply & demand. Not so much UGB driven.

Yeah, if one just looks at the population growth from 2010 to 2013, Oregon wasn't even close to having the highest population growth either in terms of percentage of total population or total numbers.

As usual we're in the middle of the pack (Oregon seems to be in the middle of every national ranking except for occasionally college football and best beer).

The Ducks are going to 8-4 seasons with this staff IMO.

Hell, they went 7-6 under Bellotti as recently as 2006, hence the word occasionally...

I'll be honest, I'm a warm weather Ducks fan and of college football in general(probably the SEC is still going to win every year anyhow, or some other southern team). NFL is more interesting. Let's go Niners...

This may be a misleading article. Oregon is an out of the way state in which the bulk of the population lives in the upper left hand corner.

People are far more like to use moving vans to move to Oregon than when they go to and from states in which they can pack up the car a couple times and drive back and forth.
