Yes, just as long as your opinions and ideas mirror exactly our own. And if you're black make sure to live only in North Portland.

This actually makes me want to move to Denver.

It's funny, I moved to southern colorado for a while, and the people there hate and complain about Texans exactly the same way Oregonians hate Californians.

Oh and who died and made you the leader of where and where not to move to. People will move to Portland if they want to for the love of Christ. I went to Portland once and it's a lovely city, I don't see to many things wrong with it. You probably have had a bad experience there or whatever, but that won't stop people from moving there, now quit complaining like a little 10 year old and grow up.

The Denver area is a little more accepting, especially one on one. Someone may say they "hate" Texans, but they might like their next door neighbor from Texas. It's a start. Ditto Californians. Yes, Colorado gets its share, too.

LOL you are so right. Real Estate Agents here in Oregon say: "We welcome you" That is, as long as you are white and have a nice fat bank account. LOL

This is so true, we have been researching/traveling to different places, to move too for almost 3 years now. And reading many threads in different places. You hear the same complaint many areas of the country.

Someone else complained about the transient population in Portland, I think our society as a whole has become much more transient than in years past. This is happening in many cities across the US. I don't see it going back to the way it used to be, where generations stayed in one place for years.

When I lived in Pennsylvania, folks from New Jersey and New York were the "Don't move here!" targets. Finally, a break from the anti-California bias.
