Let's face the facts. Life in California is much better than Oregon. Santa Barbara vs. Seaside, Or. lol. Portland vs. San Fran or LA. lol. Year 'round great weather vs. 8 months of horrible weather. The only argument for Oregon is it's cheaper than California. Gee, I wonder why. Cheaper for a reason.

Well, although I'm in agreement with the weather being nicer overall, especially in the winter months, being cheaper isn't the only argument for Oregon. Some people prefer not to live in the rat race that is LA, SD, and the Bay area. They are nice places to visit and vacation, but not so certain it should be referred to as gods gift to mankind.

I think you'd have a difficult time convincing people that Needles is better than Baker City.

Just ignore this poster. He's popping up in all the threads, repeating the very same phrase, "8 months of horrible weather."

First, it simply isn't true. Spring, summer, and fall are fantastic in the PNW. And the winters up here are mild and desirable compared to the east coast and the midwest.

As for California, big portions of the state have horrendous summer and fall weather. East of the I-5, it's blazing hot and sucks, badly. LA-metro area is an oven. Also, at this very moment, you can see all the California wildfires from space, burning out of control. This includes Santa Barbara. The "year round great weather" is an absolute lie for most of the state. Only a thin sliver of the southern California coast will give you the Mediterranean climate.

Maybe he actually lives in the PNW, and is trying to discourage others from moving there...

There was a troll that was posting last spring that fit the original posters MO to a tee. He was posting scribes on the Portland board talking about the weather and the people and how terrible both are, and how great California is. If you look at his posts, he would also go to the LA board and have more normal, non-trolly conversations. This guy suddenly disappeared.

Then suddenly, we have a new poster with a different name slamming the weather and people of Oregon while simultaneously having normal posts on the LA board. Coincidence?
