Hurray, Hurray, another list

I think this one is supposed to be humorous, so people shouldn't get too worked up about it:

I guess beards per capita wasn't part of the study then, or else Portland would have scored a lot higher.

And I love that based off this post the google ad at the bottom for me is "Manly Iowa Apartments."

Beards probably were, but it wasn't nearly enough to compensate for the massive points deducted for disowning Tonya Harding.

As a gay man, I turned in my "manly" card ages ago, but let's look at the top five and bottom five.

Top five:
Nashville
Charlotte
Oklahoma City
Cincinnati
Denver

Bottom five:
Chicago
Portland
SF
LA
NYC

Which set of cities would you rather live in? Denver is fine, but otherwise the top five seem like wretched places. The bottom five are pretty much the most vibrant cities in America. Go Portland!

No BO rating either...man some people are here smell like a condensed athletic club from 10 feet *Blarg*

You couldn't get me in Cincinnati with a pry bar, even to visit....

Well, let's face it, Portland men eat things like quiche and prance around doing dances.

HA HA HA What a silly list! I can't believe someone would move to a city because they thought it was manly. There is fishing, AND boating in, or close to the city.

I don't particularly like quiche; and while I've been known to dance on occassion, I'm not coordinated enough for it to be described as "prancing". I'll also have to admit that Ive never been to a monster truck rally and have no desire to do so. And I'm curious about subsound's observation. Would a high BO rating make the city more manly or less so?

Wait, what's wrong with Cincinnati? Have you ever been there? So, we've had a few incidents in the past, like the Bengals, Pete Rose, and race riots... But I still hafta stand up for my hometown, it is a wonderful place with tons of character, many professional sports teams, a beautiful waterfront, AND we have Cincinnati style chilli (*drool*) !

I personally would take any of the "top five" cities over NYC, Chicago, or LA anyday (never been to SF, so I won't pass judgement).
